Project Details

After using a small solar panel to power his chicken coop, this homeowner decided he wanted to go bigger. Our client reached out to us with an interest in using solar power to reduce his residences reliance on BC Hydro. Our solar team designed, installed and commissioned a ground-mounted PV system large enough to produce over 1/3 of his annual electricity needs. In addition to making a sustainable impact on Vancouver Island, the array also provides a shading umbrella for our client’s canine companion on hot days. Our team also designed and installed the system with the ability to add more panels in the future.

To Colyn and Tim:
Your, The Shift Energy Group, crew installed solar system that should cut substantially our energy cost not only by providing kWh of energy by also by pushing our energy bill under the threshold of higher Hydro rates. The Shift Energy crew did secure in a timely manner all required applications, safety inspections, and material required by specifications. You have consulted and listened to what we as customers wanted to happen and implemented appropriate solutions. All options were clearly explained to us, making it easier for us to select one suitable to our energy needs, landscape configuration, and budget.
Our system is so far producing as specified and even seasonally better. In addition, the ability to monitor in real time each and every component of the system is huge bonus and comfort that removed any second guessing about amounts generated, performance of panels and any other component of the system.
The Shift Energy crew, you guys, did a great job here within a budget, quality, and time frame as promised. - Thanks Zlatko Z.
